This holster was straightforward and came in a visually appealing, durable bag. It wasn't until I opened the package that I truly appreciated its superior quality.

Field Test Results
This Tactical Holster, like any other piece of M.O.L.L.E gear, can be a bit tricky to set up on your vest due to the webbing involved in its installation process. However, I found that taking out my plate, allowed me more flexibility and made it much simpler for me to attach the holster onto my vest securely, and in an ideal spot that was easy for me to reach whenever needed.
To guarantee secure storage of your pistol, several security measures are employed.
A single snap with a nylon strap is the first line of defense, which then has an additional layer of protection from a hook and loop strap that covers it to block any accidental openings.
So when you're reaching for your gun, ensure to rip away the hook and loop fastener from the snap, before slipping your thumb between them both so you can remove it. With a single slide of your thumb, the snap unclasps and releases your weapon.
Simple and straightforward, this holster works like a charm. Furthermore, it is compatible with many standard firearms: Glocks, Sigs, Springfield Armory XDEs to Beretta Px4 Storms - plus larger models too.
In addition to these features, lasers and lights can also be incorporated into this holster design for optimal performance.
Not only is this holster compatible with optics-ready handguns, but it also features a magazine pouch along the top for added convenience.
The neutral tone makes it ideal for pairing with tan vests or any other color without looking out of place. Additionally, there are straps at both the bottom and side to adjust your fit accordingly depending on what pistol you're carrying, adding yet another layer of modularity and compatibility.
As you can see, I'm using an AREX Delta M handgun. This pistol is on the smaller side and thus, all of its sizing straps need to be tightly secured for a perfect fit inside this holster. Plus, there's plenty of extra room to add a surefire light if ever desired.
Pros
- Premium Materials – Plenty of companies make M.O.L.L.E. gear, and you can find nylon gun cases anywhere, but finding a true 1000-denier nylon like Elite Survival Systems offers is rare. The difference in quality is obvious the moment you pick it up.
- Superior Construction – Every stitch, buckle, clasp, and Velcro is carefully crafted with performance in mind—no corners cut, no cheap shortcuts.
- Impressive Shape Retention – This holster holds its form as well as leather, which is something you don’t see often in nylon gear.
- Plastic Shim for a Perfect Fit – A small but thoughtful inclusion, the plastic shim helps you properly adjust the retention strap. Without it, the strap tends to slip between the holster and the gun, making fine-tuning a pain.
- Easy and Secure Tensioning – Once you set the tension using the shim, removing it instantly locks your pistol in place, ensuring a snug and secure fit without the hassle.
Little details like these make a huge difference, and Elite Survival Systems clearly put a lot of thought into this holster.
Cons
Overall, this holster performs excellently, and I have no major complaints. However, there is one area that could be improved:
- Strap Rigidity – The straps connecting to my M.O.L.L.E vest are fixed in one direction, making them less flexible.
- Fit & Comfort – While they function as intended, more flexibility would allow for a tighter, more secure fit against the vest, improving comfort.
Despite this minor drawback, the holster serves its purpose very well.
Final Thoughts
The Elite Survival Systems M.O.L.L.E Tactical Holster is the perfect complement to my plate carrier setup. It’s something I had been desperately seeking to attach a backup firearm without having excessively bulky or large holsters that would take up half of the vest space!
This holster fits snugly and only occupies one-quarter of the vest, while still allowing enough room nearby for magazine pouches and Cobra handcuffs. Furthermore, I mount my plate carrier at the back of my passenger seat for quick and easy pistol access when driving in my Chevy Avalanche.
This is an additional advantage to using Elite Survival Systems M.O.L.L.E Tactical Holster as it enables me to quickly draw from this holster while seated behind the wheel.
